Through my work I live, I think, I fly over infinite possibilities our lives offer us. As an artist I articulate my thoughts, dreams, ideals. I want to offer elements of surprise, meditation and inspiration to the viewer. The idea is as important as the piece I create. My main themes are related to creation, the creative process as fact and concept, although very abstract, I felt to articulate it in my art.
I am a ceramic artist working with different materials and techniques, especially hand-building, slip-casting, ceramic collage. I experiment combinations of different materials with porcelain: kanthal wire, organic materials, stone sand and clay. My fascination is about the relationship between the internal and external realities, the dualism between inside and outside, idea and form, impression and expression. Anca Vintila Dragu |
