Galateea Contemporary Art invites you, on Wednesday, the 9th of August, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., at the opening of the exhibition "Time out" made by the ceramic artist ADINA JURCA, a Ph.D.c. in Visual Arts at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca. Nature creates a WHOLE where beauty can manifest itself, and this manifested beauty stands for a TRUTH in which the humane, either aware or not of it, must instinctively have the will to preserve and perpetuate it in view to offer it as a gift to the future world. Yantra About the nature manifested in a mystical diagram of the Universe – which becomes the support of the state of pure contemplation. Having by instinct, since childhood, a contemplative attitude vis-a-vis any natural spot or organism seeming both fascinating and mysterious as far as its make-up and performance are concerned, be it a vegetal body, a bare texture or the silent witness of some natural phenomena able to "work" in time (cracked wall, stone-hard surface, moss-covered wood looking as if descended from other worlds, as well as many other imprints that could be retold with visual means...), after a couple of years spent in studying and experimenting artistically different ceramic materials, I am willing to express those states of mind. Consequently, I started from the idea that my early perceptions could be anybody's too. Obviously, I had to represent them observing the lucid condition of the young adult trying to synthesize and catalogue beyond these states of mind. This supposed a certain type of engagement and, moreover, a gateway towards the world. Why have I chosen the Yantra-like representation? I have found in this philosophy inexhaustible resources of plastic expression: exquisite eruption of shapes, plasmas, tokens of the beginning, excerpts of writing, relief "crispenings" and chromatic irisations hidden into the dense virtual space of the Yantra square, which renders both my formal-expressive intentions supported by mixed media – repeated juxtapositions offering infinite possibilities to display my own feelings – and my inner "metaphysical" world. Yantra has a symbolic syntax able to explain its shape, functions and energetic power, a mysterious-esoteric interface of some ritual practices condensed in a proper aesthetics together with a philosophy and science of the shape and image able to condense the essence of the Oriental thinking related to the structure of the Universe. It is primarily used as a symbolic representation of the whole infinite space, which is a reservoir of non-manifested shapes. Psychologically speaking, it is a "window" which, through meditation, joins the absolute reality aiming to discover the inner centre of our deep "archetypal" being.
