Galateea Contemporary Art invites you, on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at 6 pm, to the opening reception of the exhibition Porcelain Landscapes of the ceramic artist Grit Uhlemann from.Germany.
Curator: Cristina Popescu Russu
Grit Uhlemanns light objects are made of translucent porcelain. Aesthetically, the light presents a continuum of soft organic to cleaar outlines. It’s playful yet strict and reminiscent of a shadow theatre. Imagine standing in the dark and observing a light spectacle. The light gives shape to the nature it wants to present. The most natural primordial light comes from glowing lava. This substance, which is deeply rooted in earth’s history, carries the minerals on our planet’s surface with enourmous heat and energy.
The exhibition can be visited between December 12, 2019 and January 10, 2020
Media partners:
Observator Cultural, Modernism, Radio România Cultural, Senso TV – Arte, Agenția de Carte, Cultura, Art Clue .
