Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery presents "Organic / Geometric", an exhibition signed Matei Gaşpar.
The opening will take place Monday, April 29, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery, Calea Victoriei 132, Bucharest.

­­­­­In the current exhibion, Organic/Geometric, Matei Gașpar spans his artistic approach a multidisciplinary spiritual field. Considering the concept and practice of arts`fusion, he facilitates a meaningful encounter of ceramics and sculpture with discrete painting accents.
The artist migrates, in an osmotic and barely noticeable process, to various spiritual themes through his work. First, one can decode the fields connected to his interests, such as land art, scenography, performance, theatre even, since the artistic objects he reveals have an evolution similar to that of the actors on stage. Subsequently, his connection with the existentialism is to be detected, as the artist keeps experimenting anxiously with the limits of geometry, in its life foundation meaning.
Visiting the gallery, one can feel, even for a brief moment, that the realm of the living has embodied in the apollonian precision of geometry, or, on the contrary, that Apollo himself- the perfect geometer- has come to find a temporary dwelling in the realm of the living, in the very heart of those that endure.
Matei Gașpar`s most recent artistic production consists of sensitive associations, spiritual shadows and penumbra, the viewer being invited to witness its inner mysterious pulsation, akin to life itself, yet not by structure, but by significance.
