Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery invites you, on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 7 pm, to varnish the exhibition NOW, a solo show by DANA CATONA, a ceramic artist in Timișoara.
"Sometimes I say words from an invisible poem", sounds one of Dana Catona's lines. In her world, which is poetic irrespective of the language she used (literature or the visual arts, or the fine arts), the words turn visible, and some of them move from the poem into the drawing, and from the drawing into the material objects – for instance, into ceramic objects. The word NOW (the title of one of her poems about present and past!) enters the Drawn Poems (the title of an exhibition of pictures with inscriptions and collages taken from her own lines) – and lo, see it recently, in the various ceramic shape to be displayed: a multitude of nows. Visual artist's regard laps over the inner eye (which is specific to the genuine poet) and create, together, the vision. Which means an escape from the den (or cave, if you prefer, Plato's words). Literature, drawing, ceramic art, all in one. NOW.
