Galateea Contemporary Art would like to have the pleasure of your company to the opening of the ceramic exhibition  METAFORMES - samples of some visual concepts by  JUDIT CRĂCIUN a ceramic artist from Baia Mare, Romania, on Thursday  September 13,  2018, at 7 pm.

“Judit Crăciun exhibits earthenware samples, shapes and relics which overcome both functionality and decorativism, staking on interchangeability, on the correspondence between the empty and full spaces, on a certain non-geometrism, yet on the ludicrous metamorphoses intensified by coloured glazes. The pieces turn gradually, under our eyes, into a kind of non-functional, organicist and mineral architectures. These massive constructs with fragile segments enjoy a splendid and challenging futility, able to preserve the expressive and tectonic features imprinted during the elaborated technological process”.

“Judit Crăciun's ceramic pieces show her strong and genuine artistic personality. In her works, the spatiality, not the temporality, seems primordial. The austere lines, the massive and robust geometrized constructs are tamed by the ludicrous intervention of the organic elements specific to the vegetal world. 
The symbiosis of antitheses confers her biomorphic works the unique qualities of an integer. The artistic undertaking is backed by the precision, by the dexterity with which the ceramist masters her workmanship. Inspired from nature and interpreted in artistically, the works strike due to their modern vision, original shapes and relational structure. Each piece is distinguished by its decorative boldness and autonomy”.
