A new group of ceramic artists from the 2016-2018 generation set out to approach a common theme - INTIMATE SEQUENCES - each keeping their freedom of expression. Thus, the nine artists approached thoughts, fears, intimate questions, which in everyday life they would not tell or share in a conversation but only in an inner dialogue with themselves. Reflections, thoughts, manifestations that can be codified in artistic language, in a code of signs, maybe abstract or empty of action.
And yet this remains the reflective approach that the artists proposed to themselves, going as far as extracting a seed of self hidden from view and revealed in the ceramic material. A timid revelation of some inner feelings, towards a self-knowledge but also towards the knowledge of the other members of the group.
Coming out of a space of silence where a symbiosis of ideas took place, three of the nine artists resorted to a unique approach, that of conceiving and modeling together but sequentially, in three stages, a work that bears the imprint of each. These experiences, experiments and feelings are part of the artists' truly intimate laboratory:
