Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery has the pleasure to invite you to a new group exhibition on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at 7 pm. This time it aims to project in the exhibiting space a small studio corner, the corner for photo shooting the ceramic object.
The exhibition Galateea Micro Studio tries therefore to welcome you in the atmosphere where the ceramic artist displays his/her creations, an ideal place to take one's ease in front of a ceramic work.
After the ceramic object is taken out of the kiln, artist's first thought is to analyze through and through both object's final shape and the aspect of the glaze, of the colour – on short, the firing outcome. The work is afterwards placed in relationship with the other pieces occupying artist's creation space. This place is often a wall rack or any other clean, well-lighted surface.
The objects exhibited in the gallery do not surpass 30 cm on either of their sides. They are conceived in different styles, out of a variety of ceramic materials, like porcelain, stoneware, clay or various of their combinations fired between 1000°C and 1300°C.
