"Facing a symultaneous debut, the young ceramists Irina Silivestru and Cristian Dobrescu – graduates of the National University of Arts in Bucharest in 2007 and respectively, 2004 – are trying to show how different their approaches can be. Singular, yet majestic in the way they retell their adventure, the two artists intercross distinctly though following their individual targets. Between the descriptive shipwrecking solarly in abstractness (Irina Silivestru) and an abstractness longing for the carnal (Cristian Dobrescu), the beholder perceives the shock waves of the anxious searches putting them into a monozygotic condition: they do resemble, but have nothing in common... except they have been fathered, in the same generation, under the sign of art".
