INNER CONNECTIONS

“Inner Connections”, an international ceramic exhibition, is organized round the concept of communication. The approached themes deal with the genuine verbal communication developed in the offline space, with orality, empathy, intuition, inner world and the communication based on non-virtual reference points. Modern man lives in a world in which the computer and the cell phone, the gadgets these objects require included, are all-important, and to be online became a bet in itself. By questioning the binomials virtual identity–real identity, virtual language–real language, virtual space–physical space, we acquire a different type of perception as far as the mechanisms interfering in communication are concerned. In other words, the way, changed into a goal, has consequences on cultural plane. Beyond the aesthetic and conceptual dimensions, the interrogative dimension is also important.

The exhibition “Inner Connections”, organized by Many Colors Cultural Association in partnership with Ceram Art Foundation, is part of the ample visual-art curatorial project entitled “Facets of Hyperconnectivity” (2015–2016), a project including the following connex cultural events: lectures, visual-art exhibitions, performances workshops, auditions of experimental and contemporary music.
