"Trodden Limits" represents an artistic research, from a visual perspective, that analyzes how the human being reacts when exposed to trauma, this artistic approach investigates the line of separation between what can be considered bearable, what can be endured and the areas in which trauma produces irreversible changes and metamorphoses at psychological level. These perimeter of the demarcation lines are perceived as limits that once violated produce mutations, most of the time these limits have an extremely personal character, being fluid, non-constant and specific to each individual, there is no scale able to establish a certain degree of acceptability.
"Trodden Limits" approaches this theme from the perspective of the personal circumstances experienced by the artists Andrea Éva Szőcs (HU) and Georgiana Cozma (Ro); the exhibition has been conceived as an exercise of sincerity, a visual based confession of some experiences, moreover, common to many of us. The journey through the exhibition integrates a series of ceramic installations aiming to generates a process of mirroring, proposing an intimate perspective of inquiring trauma, a type of mediation that the public, incited to empathy and emotion, experiences in contact with the works. The certain path of these installations as they are staged across the space was planned in such a way as to bring the viewer to the point of directly confronting his own reality, offering a personal decision-making act - whether or not the viewer will interact with the works.
