The material, having a special sensibility, preserves each of ceramist’s interventions. Being obedient, the stoneware subdues the artistic gesture, storing it onto its surface. The delicate impression is kept in material’s memory, moulding its epidermis. Just like a biotechnologist, Gavril Zmicală investigates the human being’s microparticles through introspection. Each thought, gesture or feeling, turns into the image of a state of mind. The correspondence between the image of this state of mind and matter’s memory creates the shape’s Aura.
