Galateea Contemporary Art invites you, on Thusday, July 18, 2019, at 8 pm, to varnish the exhibition #ANTROPOCIBERNETICUS, a solo show by Anca Vintilă Dragu.
Curator: Gherghina Costea
Guest: Ion Bogdan Lefter
Anca Vintilă Dragu is both a ceramic artist and object designer, the creator of the Una-ca-Luna brand. During 2013–2018 she studied ceramics at the UNArte București / National University of Arts in Bucharest; besides, she is a trainee member of the Fine Artists' Union (FAU) of Romania.
"Artist's originality consists in her ability to offer a sequence of the dynamics characterizing our contemporary world, a 'virtual life' in perpetual movement, more and more addicted to the modern means of communication, acknowledged as social media.
In fact, Anca Vintilă Dragu turns this communication act into an artistic experience, i.e. into an aesthetically exploited adventure."
Gherghina Costea
"What have we managed to be today, and how shall we look like tomorrow?! Anca Vintilă Dragu's answers to these heavy questions showing a gloomy science-fiction projection are ludic, they choose a playful lexical combination and and illustrate it with a suite of appropriate characters.”
Ion Bogdan Lefter
The exhibition can be visited from July 15 to August 12, 2019.
Free entrance
