ANATOMY OF THE MATTER – TIME, MEMORY
Galateea Contemporary Art invites you, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at 6 p.m., to attend the opening of the ceramic exhibition ANATOMY OF THE MATTER – TIME, MEMORY.
In contemporary ceramic art, the process of creation is mostly based on the spiritual and emotional impact generated by the shapes and materials subdued to specific media and technologies reminding the "anatomy of the matter". In time, the experience, experiments and feelings have become encapsulated and deposited in the memory of everybody's intimate laboratory. In their turn, and if approached artistically, these released elements can be personified with the aid of clay, stoneware or porcelain, as well as by overlaying and successive firing of glazes, pigments and "engobes". The elements we take from the real world, filtered through our own experiments and instinctive imagination, create a permanent relationship with our inner self and confer an important role to our memory. Memory helps us realize the time transition. We bring time, memory and matter to the present time via the expressive contemporary works of the artists:
Mana Bucur, Diana Butucariu, Emilia Chirilă, Miruna Coman, Gloria Gratti, Adina Jurca, Koncz Münich András, Nicolae Moldovan, Lucia Lobonţ, Cara Olteanu, David Olteanu, Aniela Ovadiuc, Palkό Ernest, Oriana Pelladi, Marius Stanciu.
