The exhibition "Ceramics out of this world" invites viewers on a journey into the sculptural imagination of an artist who deliberately transcends the traditional functionality of ceramics to create forms with an extraterrestrial, hybrid, and mythological character. The seven works by Victor Costache, displayed at Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery, clearly reflect the artist’s intention to craft a visual language situated “beyond the world,” where the material becomes a vehicle for speculation and fiction.
Within the context of the exhibition, these sculptures are defined as “artifacts” from an imagined reality. The artist constructs a personal mythology, using ceramics as a bridge between the earthly and the cosmic, between the tangible concreteness of clay and the vast fictional expanse of the universe. Ceramics out of this world thus becomes not merely a title but a statement of intent: the sculptures are not simple art objects but fragments of a parallel world, challenging the viewer to expand their perceptual horizons and embrace ambiguity as part of the aesthetic experience.

The exhibition will run from October 8 to November 2, 2025.
